January 27th, 2008 was the 65th anniversary of the end of the blockade of St. Petersburg. In the reenactment battle to honor all those who lived through the blockade of the city, and those who helped save lives while often losing their own, war history clubs of St. Petersburg, Priozersk, Moscow, Kolomna, Kaliningrad, Kazan, as well as countries like Estonia, Belorussia, England, Ireland, Sweden, and Finland participated in the event.
