Russian car factory AZLK, abbreviation literally meaning “Lenin Communist Youth League Automobile Factory” was the maker of the Moskvich brand. The factory which was founded in 1930, stayed around for decades until it filed for bankruptcy in 2002 and shut down all of its production. Today the factory remains idle and abandoned. It’s been a while since Russian Army’s uniforms were updated, well they finally did it. They showed new uniforms to the president yesterday and interestingly enough the guy in charge was a famous Russian designer Valentin Udashkin. New uniforms definitely look better, and the fact that they hired models to display them, also helps…

У нас новая секретарша, 19-летняя блондинка. Как-то сидит, пыхтит:
- Блин! У меня сайт ни один не грузится!
Я спрашиваю:
- А че выводит?
- Да тут сеточка какая-то постоянно!
Подхожу, смотрю. Она в экселе в строку для формул вводит адреса сайтов. Я плакал. Весь офис плакал.

January 27th, 2008 was the 65th anniversary of the end of the blockade of St. Petersburg.
