Leading up to May 9th Victory Day holiday, a lot of posters were put up all over Russia, commemorating the event. Unfortunately those who were in charge of putting those billboards together, clearly didn’t know anything about history. Too make matters even more ironic, the Russian teens who participated in the parades clearly misunderstood what the whole holiday was about…

In Russia the public runs public transport, quite literally…
There is a city in Russia called Orel - whose name literally translates as “eagle”. This city is very old since it was ordered to be built by Ivan the Terrible himself back in 1566. But enough with history, since the name of the city has a direct relationship to an eagle, why not build and put one on the city square???

P.S. Notice how both wings of the eagle are tied down to the ground, obviously to prevent the eagle from escaping and flying away, since a similar stunt had already been performed by a runaway bear which had escaped from Moscow zoo back in 1980…
