Something major happened on August 8th, 2008 - your beloved (or maybe not) RussianFun.net had turned 1 year old!!!
We have grown substantially from the average 30 visitors a day we used to get one year ago, hopefully that means that we are doing something right. That’s why we sincerely want to thank all of you who kept supporting, coming back, and sharing this website with their friends. Because of you we are still around, and hope to be for many more years to come!!!

With the war between Russia and Georgia escalating day by day, it’s interesting that roughly half of our visitors coming from google.com, get here after they had been looking for vanga predictions there. In case you don’t remember we posted a picture of a newspaper article with her predictions here, and here is an excerpt from it;
2008 - Assassination attempts on four heads of states. Conflict in Indonesia. That becomes one of the causes for the start of WWIII.

Here is the apartment of one of the creators of the amazing Tupolev Tu-154 airplane model for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004, (which you can download for free here). As you can see, he modeled a cockpit of a real Tupolev Tu-154 in his bedroom!!! All of the parts were taken from retired planes and then integraded with the Flight Simulator software. By the way, the guy behind this ambitious project wants to expand the cockpit so it can include more working parts from a real aircraft…

This site has gotten a bit slow when it comes to new posts. Nope, we haven’t stopped updating because we got lazy, it just simply seems like the whole world right now is focused on the Olympics, while the entire Russia is focused on it’s ongoing war with Georgia. As a result it’s very hard to find something worthy of sharing with you (at the moment)…

Two guys from Russia decided to go on a 1300km (800 mile) bike trip. They started their adventure in Volgograd, and on their way they visited Astrakhan, Elista, and Stavropol. The entire journey took them 18 days to complete. Thankfully they brought a really good camera along, so here are pictures they took along the way. (If you happened to like Russia through the eyes of a cyclist, then you should definitely check out Russia through the eyes of an airline pilot)…
