Bears in Hermitage Museum in a Russian Commercial for Foreigners…

Here are the two adds that are designed to target foreign tourists in order to make them want to visit St. Petersburg’s and its museum called Hermitage. These adds were intendant to be shown on channels such as CNN and Euronews. While many of us will look at these adds and find them creative and funny, the director of the museum Michael Pitrovskiy had another opinion. Pitrovskiy was outraged because he thinks that following this “bear stereotype” is degrading to the city of St. Petersburg as well as it’s citizens, he claims to get a lot of outraged mail blaming him for letting bears walk around Hermitage. You might ask, how did he allow the bears to end up at his museum in the first place??? Pitrovski claims that he was told about the add, but the fact that live trained bears will be in it was not mentioned…
