Avoid St. Petersburg Beaches…

by Rfun 1 Comment »

St. Petersburg officials want foreign tourists to visit their museums, but there are few things that those city officials would rather hide from the foreign tourists. We’ve already shown you the surprisingly horrible beaches of St. Petersburg. Now here is a picture that shows you how those “bad beaches” are formed. You’d have to be pretty crazy and brave to swim in St. Petersburg waters especially after seeing how much glass will end up there this summer…

Health and Safety Russian Style…

When people have an IQ of a potato they drive cars around on top of each other without doing anything to secure them in place, here is a moron from Russia who had done that.

Ballots from 2008 Presidential Election in Russia…

by Rfun 3 Comments »

In the recent Presidential elections, people who clearly disagreed with the official government policy, or were simply bored, decided to draw and write messages on ballots before submitting them. I’ve translated most of the ballot’s messages into English, but some of them will only make sense in Russian.

Horrible Beaches in St. Petersburg…

by Rfun 1 Comment »

St. Petersburg might be called the “cultural capital of Russia”, a name it definitely deserves, but you do have to keep in mind, that when it comes to beaches or swimming areas in general there really isn’t that much “culture” left…

When rules don’t apply…

by Rfun No Comments »

As you can see from this picture, when you are a member of Russian police, you don’t have to wait for the train to pass like everyone else (notice the sirens are off so it wasn’t an emergency either…) If it was European or American police on the picture, this would most likely make it to the news and few people could lose their job over it, but this is Russia - cops are untouchable here…

Don’t get into Russian taxis…

by Rfun 3 Comments »

We already made a post about arrogant Russian drivers here. Sadly we now have another one. As you can see from this video, one guy in a Lada (with TAXI sign on it) decided to drift on a busy highway, of course being an arrogant bastard he didn’t care about other cars, snow on the road, or the truck carrying gas which can be seen at the end of the video…

Girinovsky makes a fool out of himself again…

by Rfun No Comments »

Well this idiot had embarrassed himself plenty of times in the past and you can view those
here, but now here is another performance of Vladimir Girinovsky - a famous insane “politician” from Russia. In this video he becomes extremely unhappy with one University professor who tried to challenge him. At the end of the video Girinovsky is experiencing another one of his famous rages and openly shoves the guy and orders him to leave the studio then tells his staff member to murder this professor in the hallway…

Russian playgrounds are special…

by Rfun 26 Comments »

Well in Russia they build playgrounds rather differently…  I’m not sure how someone who has kids of their own could design something like this but these are some of the actual playgrounds that Russian youth has to play with, don’t blame the kids if they grow up to be mean…

More Russian cops

On one hand we don’t really like them, on the other hand, the entire police section of this website would disappear if Russian cops became more professional but we doubt they ever will…

Russian morons…

In Russia, car accidents claim around 35,000 lives a year with 250,000 injured and 100,000 disabled… Drunk driving, extremely poor road manners, no seat belts, take its toll every day. Another problem among some drivers is a doomed belief that they are invincible, that the public road is a racetrack and that their actions won’t cause harm to other drivers. Here is a sad example of what i’m talking about…

Ambulance under fire in St. Petersburg…

by Rfun No Comments »

Sadly this story opens up a new section of Russianfun.net. As you can see from the picture the windows of this ambulance from St. Petersburg were shot by a man who who was mad at the ambulance driver for blocking his parking spot. He first began shouting at the ambulance driver then took out an air gun and began shooting at the car, luckily nobody got hurt, but still goes to show you the culture or lack of one in some people…

Meeting in Support of Vasiliy Aleksanyan - a Story Russian Media Won’t Talk About…

by Rfun 8 Comments »

We have already wrote about the imprisonment of Russian oligarch Mikhael Khodorkovsky here. Khodorkovsky who was once the wealthiest man in Russia, & was controlling YUKOS - a non state owned oil company. He was put in jail later for what many believe his political ambitions of trying to create opposition to Putin. Well, he is serving his long sentence in Siberian prison now. Vasiliy Aleksanyan who once was a vice-president of YUKOS is still going through his trial. Aleksanyan is almost blind, HIV-positive and recently had been diagnosed with cancer yet he is still being kept in a Russian prison. Khodorvosky even went on a hunger strike so his friend would get proper medical care. Meanwhile in court on February 1st, 2008 all requests by Aleksanyan’s lawyer to suspend the trial and move Aleksanyan to a hospital were denied by a judge so he will be kept in jail till the end of his trial/life, as you can see a number of supporters (with no Russian media in sight) had gathered to voice their outrage and support this man…

Michael Khodorkovsky supporters…

by Rfun No Comments »

On May 31st, 2005 Michael Khodorkovsky was found guilty of fraud and was sentenced to ten years in prison. Many believe that the whole trial was largely political, since in 2003 Khodorkovsky funded a government opposition party. Many people in Russia hate him, since he was an oligarch, many want him free because they believe he is innocent and was put in jail for his political ambitions…
