Yes, we’ve already shown you pictures of Russian Military preparing for the May 9th Victory parade. Those pictures were taken on a militray base outside Moscow. What you are about to see now took place in Moscow two days go. Here are all branches of Russian military taking over the streets of Moscow - creating traffic nightmare for the drivers, and unbelievable spectacle for the public, all while practicing for the big parade next Friday!!! (43pics + 2 videos, Enjoy!!!)

This year’s annual May 9th Victory Parade on Red Square, will be a bit different from the recent ones, and in many ways will remind the world of the Cold War military parades which USSR did back in the day. This year aside from soldiers of different military branches of the army parading, long range bombers, aviation display teams, tanks as well as Mobile Intercontinental Ballistic Missiles units will all take part in the event. Practicing for the event is well underway and here are pictures from a military base near Moscow, where it all takes place…

Here are the pictures, as well as a (Russian) video of World’s largest military hovercraft, called Zubr (bison). The Zubr air-cushion landing craft is intended to carry out over-the-beach landings of amphibious landing troops and combat vehicles, as well as provide fire support of their actions on shore.
The ship provides sea lift of materiel consisting of:
- 3 tanks of total mass up to 150 tons;
- or 10 armored vehicles of total mass up to 131 tons;
- or 8 armored personnel carriers of total mass up to 115 tons;
- or 8 amphibious tanks.
To accommodate troops, carried in vehicles there are 4 compartments with 140 seats.
As an option, the combat material compartment can be fitted with removable benches for additional accommodation of 360 troops (altogether 500 persons).
Here is a pretty cheesy ad that the Russian Army had put up, the main purpose of this ad was to basically show that by becoming an army contractor, you can afford to take your girlfriend out…
Translation:
- hi
- hello
- oh, how beautiful. but they’re so expensive.
- it’s ok. that’s how it should be.
- i’ve missed you so much.
- me too.
- tell me, how are things in the army?
- everything is fine.
- (to barman) for all!
- why, maybe you shouldn’t?
- my treat. don’t worry, i can afford it.
Here are pictures from the joined training of Russian Spetsnaz and Chinese Special Forces unit that took place near Moscow…

Collection of pictures that depicts Russian Army Life and soldiers who serve in it…

Imagine waking up one morning and seeing an entire arsenal of Russian Intercontinental Ballistic Missiles pass through your little town. That’s exactly what happened with citizens of a tiny Russian city in Krasnoyarsk region…

Here are pictures from the kids military camp in Stavropol, Russia. About 40 children between 12 to 17 years old, go through a training in this military camp, which is organized by the former Russian servicemen who teach the kids the basics of martial arts and weaponry. As you’ll see from the pictures, it’s very far from your stereotypical idea of a kids summer camp…

We already have a video about the Speznaz secret fighting techniques here, now here is an interesting gallery from Speznaz training camp…

Well as you can see from this story, one drunk Russian tank driver decided to go Vodka shopping and hit someone’s house in the process. The best part is that a spokeperson for the army had concluded that there is no way their guy could have been drunk since he was performing a training mission, but perhaps he should tell that to the guy whose house is missing a wall now…
Here is the story in American news…
Here is the official leaked Russian video that shows the crash as well as comentary by a woman who sold this solider Vodka, and the Military official who tries to argue that icy roads and not the drunk driver had caused the accident…
Interesting gallery of the girls who serve in the Russian Army, too bad they don’t specify who actually won the beauty contest, that’s why you’ll have to pick the winner for yourself…

Here are the Pictures and a video of different Soviet Union Parades. For the number of years now, the most you could see during the anual May 9th Victory parade were the fighter jets flying over the Red Square. Interestingly enough for this year’s Victory parade, sources in the Russian Ministry of defense say they plan to do a full military display with artillery pieces as well as intercontinental missiles (Lenta.ru), i guess we’ll have to wait and see…

We already showed you pictures of one abandoned military base in Russia here, now here are the pictures of another abandoned army base/missile installation…

The Battle of Stalingrad was a battle between Germany and its allies (Italy, Romania, Hungary) and the Soviet Union for the Soviet city of Stalingrad (today known as Volgograd) that took place between July 17, 1942 and February 2, 1943 as part of World War II. It is often considered the turning point of World War II in the European Theater and was arguably the bloodiest battle in human history, with combined casualties estimated above 1.5 million. The battle was marked by brutality and disregard for military and civilian casualties on both sides. The battle is taken to include the German siege of Stalingrad, the battle inside the city, and the Soviet counter-offensive which eventually trapped and destroyed the German Sixth Army and other Axis forces around the city.
It has been the 65th anniversary since the battle took place three days ago, here is the gallery dedicated to all of those who participated and in many cases gave up their lives defending and fighting for Stalingrad building by building, this is as real as it gets… (I didn’t include pictures of hundreds of fallen soldiers on the streets of Stalingrad on purpose, i hope you understand why)
