Chess controversy…

As you can see from this video, Bulgarian chess player Ivan Cheparinov refuses twice to shake hands with the English chessplayer Nigel Short. According to the rules, you must always shake hands with your opponent before the game, that’s why Cheparinov game against Short was considered a forfeit for the Bulgarian. After the appeal they were told to play the next day, as a result Short had beaten Cheparinov for good…

Svetlana Khorkina (left) is a very popular Russian gymnast who also happens to be a seven time Olympic medalist. She is rated as the most successful female gymnast of all time. On the right is Alina Kabaeva, she is Russia’s most successful rhythmic gymnast to date, and is also one of the most decorated gymnasts in the history of rhythmic gymnastics. Now both of them could be found working in Russian parlament (Duma).  I’ve already made a gallery on “tough” challenges of their work (here), and now i present you with yet another proof of just how hard it is to be a politician in Russia…
