Taking a bribe in a public here, breaking laws in a public place there, simply scratching themselves, or just being themselves. Well, here are two more videos of dopey cops, and while you need to know Russian to understand the first one, the 2nd video is self explanatory…

Breaking the rules of this site once again, we are posting a video from Ukraine. A driver in the video was stopped by police because he was going 85mp/h. Perhaps police were ready to receive a big bribe, instead they got cursed out by a general who simply refused to show them his driver’s license, and drove off…

Real Tough Guys…

by Rfun 2 Comments »

Real “tough guys” usually are the ones buying huge expensive SUVs thinking that when the magic moment comes and they actually drive their gas guzzler off the road (usually once a year or so), & that there will be absolutely nothing that could stop them. Unfortunately this is usually never the case, since even the slightest bit of mud gets them so stuck that they have to rely on old beaten up tractors to get themselves out, but perhaps this is what the off road experience is actually all about…

Il-86 Long Take Off Rolls…

by Rfun No Comments »

Ilushin-86 remains the first Russian wide body passenger airliner. Making its maiden flight back in 1976, 42 out of 103 Il-86 produced, still remain flying today. Il-86 is a very safe aircraft, with only one crash with fatalities back in 2002. One thing that had been noted about Il-86 is their periodic long take off rolls. While most of the Il-86 take offs are pretty much uneventful, at some airports where the short runaways, high temperatures, humidity and heavy summer loads come into play, the take offs can appear quite dramatic (image 1, image 2, image 3)…
