Take a look at these amazing cakes that were made by a girl named Zhanna from St. Petersburg. All of them are edible, but would you really want to destroy all of this hard work???

  2. Bman Says:

Those are some great cakes. But PLEASE check your spelling before you post on your blog. It’s EDIBLE not “eatable”.

  3. lucky0100 Says:

okie dokie. to the dude with the name “BMAN” ….shut the fuck up, seriously, don’t be such a prick to everyone. thank you . jackass.

  4. Logic Dictator Says:

I read edible in the post. Since you’re so smart Bman, maybe you could point out exactly where this horrific spelling faux pas occured?
    Awesome caks tho!

  5. Rfun Says:

**** I made it, and fixed it ;)

  6. sir jorge Says:

cake really needs to get better here in the U.S.

  7. aaa Says:

    ’shopped

  8. i bet i can find a typo on your website Says:

wow. now, that’s what I call BAKING!

and to Bman, lucky0100, and Logic Dictator: geez, settle down, willya? first of all, “eatable” IS a word; that said, I know where Bman’s coming from… the ignorance that abounds on the internet is shameful and dispiriting, and leads us to the sort of aggressive idiocracy (yes, I’m referring to the movie) that seems to underlie lucky0100’s comment. Those of us who actually enjoy reading, writing, and words, understand that the subtlety and nuance of communication requires accurate usage. When those who lack such interest (or ability, comprehension or intelligence), defend their ignorance with aggression, no good cause is served. might does not make rite.

o & BTW lucky0100, it appears as though you are signing your comment as “jackass”

In soviet russia, cake eats You!

  10. markislav Says:

these cakes have got to be some of the coolest things i’ve seen on the internet in a long time!

    so cool!!!

  11. Peter Says:

I would happily destroy those cakes. It would be so much fun.

  12. Elizabeth Says:

I love the mushroom, sewing machine and Big Mac cakes. Was that a marriage license cake? The solar system and eye chart cakes are cool too. What building does the large green tower cake resemble, and where in the world is it?

  13. nanas_art Says:

It is apparent from the negative comments above, that ignorance still abounds. Is there one of you who can speak any Russian? Has anyone tried to learn another language? The woman is an artist, not a linguist!

  14. Carol Says:

She is most certainly an artist! Fantastic cakes. Cake decorating styles really do vary from country to country, but these are winners anywhere!

  15. FrootLoop Says:

Wow, the muscle structure picture in the medical book cake looks really accurate. The others are amazing, too. Kudos to this baker!

  16. belinda Says:

    awesome!

  17. bonzo Says:

I love the bottle of alcohol cake, the frosting looks so fucking tasty.
    ….mmmmmm

  18. Autumn Says:

yeah…fondant looks amazing, which most of these cakes were decorated with…but have any of you ever HAD fondant…its AWFUL tasting. It’s far too sweet and has such an awkward texture.

  19. Semon R. Says:

Ok, I speak russian, so I’ll translate what the cakes mean for everyone. At least, all the cakes that have meaningful russian on them.

#3: black domino letters say Febuary; red writing says “resting, guys!” (Its a russian phrase, I didn’t exactly get its meaning across. I dont know how to precisely translate the meaning to English); The beer mugs have people’s names on them : left to right= Eugene, Sergei, unreadable.

    #7 is a marriage certificate

#14 The letter/package is a package adressed to saint petersburg.

#16 (the sowing machine) the white russian text on the bottom says “To our favorite girl, Nyusya”. never heard of this name before; it seems strange.

#17 the blue sowing machine: The letters on the white band are “Happy anniversary!)

The Map: on the bottom it says “Petersburg City Bank”, the Big red Letters mean “10 Years”.

Newspaper: I’m not gonna translate that. Its the “Saint-Petersburg Times”, kind of (I dont know how to translate the last word in the title).

I think thats everything! These things are absolutely amazing.

  20. Bmunchkin Says:

wow these cakes are awesome and look soo yummy. by the way, thank you Simon R for translating. =)

  21. naughtydogcafe Says:

Wow, are these cakes amazing or what!!! Thanks for the translation.

  22. alex Says:

Cake art should be more widely publicized! This is amazing. I wonder how long it typically takes to make one of these? And thanks for the translation!

  23. mikey Says:

“i bet i can find a typo on your website” is officially the biggest douche of the Internet. Apparently everyone in the world should speak perfect English, or they must be ignorant. Enjoying words is one thing, being a self-righteous idiot over them is another. Same goes for “Bman.” Get over yourselves and enjoy the real purpose of this posting.

  24. vika Says:

Wow, those cakes are truly an art. What a precision!

  25. Malissa Says:

Wow, Amazing art. Am I able to purchase from her?

  26. Doug Says:

    Simply astounding!

  27. lisa Says:

The artistry is amazing! The cakes more than likely delicious. Fondant to many is very tasty - there’s no reason to slam it just because you don’t like it.
And it shall always baffle me why people have to attempt to belittle (yes, attempt) the works of others. The only logical explanation is a deep rooted inferiority complex. To translate from the English to something those people will understand - you suck and you know it.

To everyone else who’s appreciative and intelligent, I’m sorry I had to stoop to the ignorant dolt level.

  28. SpamLamb Says:

OK, here’s the thing. I think I’d feel guilty cutting them. It would be like, you know, vandalism. Probably wouldn’t stop me but still, I feel bad. *wink*

  29. Pretz Says:

    Awesome

  30. Thos Weatherby Says:

  32. Mochi Says:

These cakes are awesome! But I’d eat them if I was hungry. :]

  33. Jamie Says:

    Eatable is a word.

  34. emmit Says:

Someone should send this blog to the “Ace of Cakes” gang on the Food Network. They don’t have anything on this gal.

  35. Sheila Says:

Great Cakes..My mom has been decorating cakes for years and I thought she was good !!! Any ways - Why do people get all hung up on the spelling / grammar / word usage that they see on the internet? This site is for appreciating the hard work that it takes to do this tuff. Some folks act like its an educational website that is there for us to learn from. GEEZ !!! Its just a cake !!! Let it be !!! Good Job…and I hope I miss-spelled something !

  39. proofer Says:

    You did - no worries . . . :)

  40. dawnthepanda Says:

Beautiful cakes to russia with love Keep up the great work.

  41. d j self Says:

What a shame that the enjoyment of being able to see photos of an amazing talent is robbed by the discourse of a “questionable” misuse of one word. It is no more mature to “politiely” correct someone than to respond offensively vulgar. A wise person will not pridely point every mistake they witness nor express a tirade of four lettered words displaying a limited vocabulary. Sounds like I’m doing the exact same thng? No. Law enforcement is not “finding fault” when a person is arrested for a crime. Vulgarity is UNACCAPTABLE always. Children are on these websites!

  42. Steaks University Says:

lol @ certificate cake!! construction site cake looks delicious.

  43. Tilly Says:

My favorite cake is the old time sewing machine. My husband and I both laughed when we saw the tire. Your skill, talent, and obvious patience is absolutely wonderful. KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK!!

  44. Vvie Says:

    More context for #3:

The whole thing is based on the idea on February 23 - Russian ‘fathers day’ equivalent (originally - Red Army ‘date of birth’). It looks like the base of the cake stands for a rough wooden table, the newspaper is full of glorious military stories, three beers with names ‘Eugene’, ‘Sergei’ and ‘Alexander’ (along with plane, ship and tank symbols on mugs).

This an ironic take on the way the low-middle to upper-low class men in Russia celebrate the day; outdoors, ‘men only’, beer, salty dried fish as an ‘hors d’oeuvres’ (for those of you picking on second language skills:), dominoes - one of the favorite outdoor ‘take-it-easy’ games, popular among that kind of people; the chips read 2 and 3 for the date, the rest of them stand for ‘February’. And, of course, the newspaper - Russian favorite (and politically sarcastic) improvisatory table cover. The sense of the red writing is somewhat a ‘let’s party, guys’ equivalent.

By the way - great job, Semon R.)

And trust me, the cakes will knock your socks off..
